Our Full Cover motorcycle insurance policy does include cover for non-competitive track days, however please read all the following information carefully as there are a number of conditions that apply to this cover. These conditions apply for any track day or training day that is held on on-track (NB: training days that occur on public roads do not require prior approval from us - check out information on the Ride Forever training courses). You will have a higher excess while on track (see below for what your excess will be) however track day cover is automatic as long as all the conditions below are met.
- You will only be covered if you are the principal rider on the policy. If your policy has more than one principal rider, please contact us for further clarification on who will be covered.
- You must have held insurance with us for a minimum of 60 days immediately prior to the event.
- You must not have had any at fault claims during the 12 months immediately prior to the event.
A higher excess will apply
Your excess while attending a track day event will be calculated by adding an additional amount to your normal rider excess. The additional amount is determined by your motorcycle’s value as follows:
Your motorcycle's Agreed Value | Your Rider excess plus: |
|---|---|
| $0 to $20,000 | $500 |
| $20,001 to $25,000 | $750 |
| $25,001 to $30,000 | $1,000 |
| $30,001+ | $1,250 |
For example, if your normal rider excess is $750 then your track day excess on a $25,000 motorcycle would be $1,500. You can find your rider excess on your most recent certificate of insurance or renewal letter.
